Is life real? The nature around us, constant emotional changes and the existence of flora & fauna: it is all an illusion. We all are born with different lives, each of our life journeys is filled with various promises and outcomes but what joins us all is the unpredictability of life. It Is what binds us as humans. Life is a concept of infinity shaped by numerous illusions, just like the universe has no bounds.

Similarly, our life is also limitless, which brings the thrill and exuberance of living each day to its maximum. For centuries, humans have had an ongoing quench for more, and it never stops because we lack a feeling of contentment.

The Illusion Life I & Illusion Life II Series Artwork depict two varying aspects of life. We are all born with sunshine in our hearts, but our outlook towards life determines our pathway further. The Artwork aims to depict the impact of positivity in our life. Keeping a positive mindset in our life can help keep the sunshine in our hearts alive and bright, which impacts our emotions and relationships.

The creator, Nehsan Selvaraj, a Malaysian artist, wanted to portray the nine essential emotions of human nature. The lighter colours show healthy and positive emotions such as love, laughter, compatibility and so on. Having healthy and positive emotions makes you shine brighter, demonstrated with the golden specks all over in the Artwork—the darker colours portray sadness, depression, loneliness, and fear. But in life, we always strive to find the brighter side. This is human nature. What we see might be not true. What we don’t know might be the lead of our life. This is an illusion, and this is what brings life alive.
